Creative minds anyone?

I`m one of those artists who loves to paint and do creative stuff until the wee hours of the morning forgetting I have an active 4 year old boy who will be wide awake just when I need some sleep!!Some of the stuff I do are admired by many but it ends there!!No sales!!How do you make people appreciate the worth of your work and then make them dig into their pockets?
Others think the arts are a waste of time and are even removing them from the school system!How many people would honestly say they can do without the artists,designers, architects,sculptors and all those creative folks out there?So all you creative people out there how do we get people to appreciate creativity in the arts?My creative juices are a little low right now,so someone INSPIRE ME!!!
