Water mixable oil paint!!

Growing up I loved water colour painting (well that`s what was really available --those kids art sets which could work wonders sometimes) and always stayed clear of oil paints as I thought they were too professional for me and unaffordable. In school all we had were some funny smelling powder paints(the thought of it though does give me fond memories of the art studios and the corridors leading to them)and you had just the primary colours and black and white to work with,so you soon became an expert at mixing your own colours.I would work with thick paint and think I was doing something great till my brother reminded me(he knows himself!!)"use more water-less paint!!(and I think sarcastically added)that`s why they are called water colour paints!!"My ego shrunk a little but that was the best advise he had given me.Thanks bro-30 or more years later(oops-I`m not giving away an age thing here)
Anyway I did learn to use oils which I love except for the nasty smell of turpentine which would remind you of a mechanics shop and if you shared space with family then that was trouble right there.
Alas! Some genius(geniuses!?!)came up with water mixable oil paints.Yeah!!oil paints that you mix with water and they are great as there is no difference except for the paint and the clean up is a breeze-water and soap!!Can`t beat that.I needed this cos I never learned to clean my brushes as I need to use turp which I didn`t like. I use the Windsor and Newton brand which as my son would say "is awesome".More later about the colourful African paintings I have done with my "awesome" water mixable oil paint.

Africa is blessed with many talented artists who's work has not been discovered by the world. The african sunsets, the array of wildlife and the people reming us of the rich african beauty that is portrayed in your art. keep it up.
